Statistics:

One study was published on the effectiveness of hypnosis as an adjunct to behavioral weight management in the Journal of Clinical Psychology, 41 (1), 35-41. The study found the group that used hypnosis in conjunction with behavioral therapy had lost more significant amounts of weight at 8 month and 2 year follow ups.  In addition, more participants who used hypnosis also maintained their weight loss.

A study on the use of hypnosis with cognitive behavioral therapy for depression found that adding hypnosis to the treatment had a significant decrease in depression, anxiety, and hopelessness compared to the participants who only had cognitive therapy.  The International Journal of Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis
